PACE for New Homes – A Cross-Canada Exploration

The use of Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing is expanding across Canada with a current focus on existing residential buildings. This starting point makes sense as it enables broad accessibility, but it also raises the question: What is the potential application for new construction? This presentation will share insights gained from an early investigation of using PACE financing for new homes in Alberta. The session will also provide an opportunity for attendees to explore how PACE could be used across the country to accelerate the uptake of energy efficiency in new construction.
