By the end of the webinar, participants will be equipped to move beyond benchmarking and use performance data as a practical roadmap for continuous energy improvement

What is ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager®

ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® is a management tool designed to measure and assess the energy performance of commercial and institutional buildings. Following widespread use in the United States, Natural Resources Canada adapted Portfolio Manager for use in Canada, where more than 26,000 buildings have been entered into the tool.

Over the years, Portfolio Manager has grown in popularity and usage because it allows users to understand energy consumption and associated costs (energy, water, and other resources), compare their buildings to similar properties, establish benchmarks, set realistic targets, and track the impact of reduction strategies through customized reports.

What you will learn

  • Interpret benchmarking results.
  • Explore advanced performance metrics beyond basic benchmarking, such as ENERGY STAR® scores, energy use intensity, and other key indicators.
  • Identify potential areas for optimization within your building’s systems and operations.
  • Use advanced strategies for efficiency enhancement.

This course is ideal for

  • Building owners and operators
  • Public sector or institutional program managers
  • Building managers/supervisors
