Aperçu du programme La formation Gestion de l'énergie et la norme ISO 50001 est conçue pour ceux qui souhaitent développer une culture de la gestion de l'énergie au sein de leur organisation. Elle couvre les éléments essentiels nécessaires à la réussite et s'aligne sur les exigences de la norme ISO 50001. ISO 50001 est une norme internationalement reconnue qui fournit aux organismes un cadre structuré pour la gestion de l'énergie. Elle intègre l'efficacité énergétique dans les pratiques de gestion afin d'améliorer la compréhension de l'utilisation de l'énergie, de promouvoir des comportements positifs en matière de gestion de l'énergie et d'encourager les pratiques d'économie d'énergie. L'utilisation de la norme ISO 50001 s'est accrue au fil du temps, car sa mise en œuvre permet de réduire les dépenses énergétiques et les émissions de gaz à effet de serre (GES). With expert-led discussions, fast-paced sessions, and an interactive in-person gathering, this year’s theme, MAXIMIZE, is all about getting the most out of your projects, materials, systems, and community impact. Attend however it works best for you! Gather your team in the boardroom to watch together, or tune in from your desk with headphones. Each session is designed to be short and impactful, with breaks in between to chat with colleagues, grab a coffee, or (let's be honest) catch up on emails. 2025 MCEE Expo

Registration is now open for the 2025 MCEE Expo, taking place at the Palais des congrès de Montreal from April 24 to 25. As Canada’s largest HVAC, plumbing, electrical and lighting expo, the event will feature more than 300 exhibitors from across the country and the U.S. The event will feature product presentations, skills competitions and recreational activities focused on sustainable innovation, energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy trends. The MCEE Expo is organized by the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH), the Corporation of Master Pipe Mechanics of Quebec (CMMTQ), the Corporation of Master Electricians of Quebec (CMEQ) and the Corporation des entreprises en traitement de l’air et du froid (CETAF), in collaboration with Electro Federation Canada (EFC). Registration is available online, with the opportunity to save $25 by preregistering before the April 23 deadline. mcee.ca

Building to Net-Zero (BNZ) Community of Practice (CoP)

The BNZ CoP hosts monthly virtual sessions that address key challenges municipalities face, including creating internal buy-in, building community and industry support, fostering equitable engagement, exploring best practices for green development standards, and implementing effective measurement and tracking strategies. CoP sessions are open to all local governments and their partners, offering opportunities to engage with subject matter experts, industry leaders, and fellow professionals. Sessions will feature a mix of formal webinars, interactive workshops, and peer-learning clinics, creating space for both structured learning and collaborative problem-solving. Empowering Tomorrow – Youth Energy Conference

High school educators and learners from across New Brunswick are invited to the Wu Centre at UNB Fredericton for a day-long event surrounding green energy careers. Hosted by The Gaia Project, in partnership with the Centre of Excellence for Energy, and NB Power. Empowering Tomorrow will connect clean energy industry experts and youth to inspire climate action and engaging in the green economy. Educators in anglophone school districts can register their class, club, or student groups at no cost. Transportation needs will be coordinated with the Centre of Excellence for Energy following registration. Chartered buses have been organized from major centres (Fredericton, Saint John, Moncton, and Miramachi). For those schools attending from more rural regions EECD and the Centre of Excellence for Energy will be in contact following registration regarding arrangement of transportation and accommodations if necessary.
