50001 Certified Professional (FR)
The 50001 Certified Professional course is designed for facility personnel, consulting professionals, auditors, and service providers with technical experience in industrial and commercial energy systems and energy efficiency practices.
Becoming a 50001 Certified Professional enables participants to provide critical technical assistance for industrial and commercial facilities whose managers want to implement an energy management system in compliance with the ISO 50001 standard.
After completing this four-day course, participants have the skills, knowledge, and performance capability to assist and evaluate businesses in meeting ISO 50001 requirements. In particular, 50001 Certified Professionals:
- Work with organizations to establish and/or maintain an energy management system (EMS) that meets ISO 50001 requirements.
- Work with organizations to integrate ISO 50001 into existing management systems.

Additionally, they are able to assist in establishing energy performance levels and baselines, thus enabling them to track facility performance improvements and integrate effective metrics.

- Hydro-Québec now includes recognized competency requirements in its energy management system (EMS) program, notably requiring the 50001 Certified Professional Certification for professionals responsible for EMS implementation reports.
