The Alberta Energy Efficiency Alliance (AEEA) and the Smart Sustainable Resilient Infrastructure Association (SSRIA) are partners in bringing together over 200 leaders for the province’s largest two-day conference, dedicated to advancing the adoption of energy efficiency and innovative solutions to reduce the carbon footprint of the buildings sector. This year’s Summit will provide attendees with a forum to collaborate, learn, network, and gain insight into the latest trends in energy efficiency deployment, and innovative technology, products and processes for buildings of all types. How buildings and the utility system interact will also be prominently featured throughout the Summit. Showcasing industry experts, innovators and leaders in the field, important discussions will take place and further the action needed to continue to foster innovation and help deliver the important economic and environmental benefits of energy efficiency in the province.

On May 14 and 15, 2024, the Transition Accelerator is gathering industry, government, academic, Indigenous, and civil society leaders for Canada's Net-Zero Forum, a unique event presenting a strategic, integrated, whole-of-society view of potential net-zero solutions. The 4th Annual Retrofit Canada Conference will be in Vancouver on 12-13 June. As per the rest of the series, the event will continue to focus on industry updates, challenges, opportunities, best practices, and lessons learned across Canada's retrofit community. Next year's event's theme is Decarbonizing and adapting existing homes and buildings to ensure equity and climate resilience. We will explore the many aspects of this theme throughout the two days, including the crucial elements of diversity and inclusion. The event will continue to gather over 300 attendees from government: federal, provincial, and local, multi-residential and commercial real estate developers and owners, pension funds, community housing societies, Indigenous and First Nation communities, utilities, banks, impact investors, general contractors, ESCOs, architecture and engineering firms, LC3 groups, research institutes and universities, and specialists in HVAC, passive buildings, building envelope, and smart/green buildings. It is the only event specially designed for Canada's retrofit sector, and we aim to provide an engaging, insightful, collaborative event for the community. In 2024 we will offer increased networking opportunities, interactivity, diversity, and actionable insights - all within a new venue.

The Passive House Canada Conference is a national annual event that celebrates the advancement that Passive House has made in Canada and also highlight the challenges that are in front of us. Climate Change, Health & Wellness, Retrofits, Innovation and Affordability will be at the forefront of the discussions. At the Passive House Canada Conference, participants can expect to participate in engaging and interactive sessions that will further enhance their knowledge of the standard and how it supports emission reduction.
