The next edition of the OAA Conference will reflect the urgency and importance of addressing housing challenges in our society. With the recent recognition of adequate housing as a human right through the National Housing Strategy Act, the 2024 OAA Conference aims to bring together a diverse range of architecture experts and professionals. Against the backdrop of Niagara Falls, attendees will delve into innovative ideas and solutions to design safe, inclusive, and sustainable spaces that foster community, health, and well-being. From exploring cutting-edge technologies and regenerative building principles to reimagining adaptive reuse and rethinking densities, the Conference will showcase the latest trends and best practices in creating equitable and inclusive housing. (Many of these sessions qualify for the mandatory Climate Action requirement as part of the current Continuing Education Program cycle.) It promises to be a transformative experience, where participants can engage in meaningful conversations, expand their knowledge, and contribute to shaping the future of housing in Ontario and beyond.

CAGBC’s Building Lasting Change conference is where Canada’s green building sector connects with the influential decision-makers and leading experts accelerating the sector on the path to zero carbon.

The 4th Annual Retrofit Canada Conference will be in Vancouver on 12-13 June. As per the rest of the series, the event will continue to focus on industry updates, challenges, opportunities, best practices, and lessons learned across Canada's retrofit community. Next year's event's theme is Decarbonizing and adapting existing homes and buildings to ensure equity and climate resilience. We will explore the many aspects of this theme throughout the two days, including the crucial elements of diversity and inclusion. The event will continue to gather over 300 attendees from government: federal, provincial, and local, multi-residential and commercial real estate developers and owners, pension funds, community housing societies, Indigenous and First Nation communities, utilities, banks, impact investors, general contractors, ESCOs, architecture and engineering firms, LC3 groups, research institutes and universities, and specialists in HVAC, passive buildings, building envelope, and smart/green buildings. It is the only event specially designed for Canada's retrofit sector, and we aim to provide an engaging, insightful, collaborative event for the community. In 2024 we will offer increased networking opportunities, interactivity, diversity, and actionable insights - all within a new venue.

The Passive House Canada Conference is a national annual event that celebrates the advancement that Passive House has made in Canada and also highlight the challenges that are in front of us. Climate Change, Health & Wellness, Retrofits, Innovation and Affordability will be at the forefront of the discussions. At the Passive House Canada Conference, participants can expect to participate in engaging and interactive sessions that will further enhance their knowledge of the standard and how it supports emission reduction. Those new to the standard will find opportunities to network and learn from other Passive House enthusiasts.
