Ontario’s energy system is a critical underpinning of the provincial government's economic growth strategy. The IESO has forecast that we need to expand our electricity system by 75 percent by 2050 to meet energy demand, and demand for natural gas as an affordable reliable fuel continues to expand. To meet these growth needs, Ontario’s utilities are going to need to attract significant new capital at pace we have not seen before.
