Centering Latinos in the Energy Transition – An AESP Listening Session
Latinos represent a growing share of the U.S. population and the energy workforce, yet their perspectives are often under-engaged in program design, outreach, and professional development. This informal listening session brings together Latino practitioners and allies to share what they’re seeing on the ground today—cultural dynamics, trust-building, competing priorities, and the real challenges facing customers and communities.
The conversation will open with a short reflection from Catalina Lamadrid of Inova Energy Group, who will set the stage around culture, trust, and energy programs. From there, the session will be open and discussion-driven, creating space for honest dialogue and shared learning.
This session aims to:
- Create space for Latino voices and lived experience
- Surface shared challenges and bright spots across programs and regions
- Gauge interest in forming a Latinos Energy Circle special interest group within AESP
This is not a polished case study or presentation-heavy session. Instead, it’s an opportunity to connect, listen, and begin shaping what a supportive, engaged Latino energy community within AESP could look like in 2026 and beyond.
