Thivya Viswanathan is an energy management professional specializing in commercial tourism and hospitality facilities. She holds a master’s degree in Clean Energy Engineering from the University of British Columbia and now works as an Energy Analyst at the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA), Kelowna, BC. With a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, she started her career as a Software Engineer and transitioned to the energy efficiency sector after discovering her passion for energy efficiency and renewable energy. She now works with the tourism businesses in the Thompson Okanagan region of BC to help them understand their energy consumption and identify energy-saving opportunities & rebates through energy assessments.
She is also a trained Climate Reality Leader, a LEED Green Associate, and has recently passed the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) exam.
