Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP)

Online

The Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP) course is designed to present all phases of commissioning projects and current best practices to ultimately prepare participants to take the exam and earn the CBCP designation. At its core, building commissioning involves quality focused projects that serve to provide documented confirmation that building systems function as intended (by both design and operational criteria), thereby meeting the operational requirements of owners. Projects of this nature have proven to be important because buildings that operate suboptimally tend to have poor indoor air quality and comfort, consume higher levels of energy, and lead to equipment failures. Properly commissioned buildings typically have fewer change orders, tend to be more energy efficient, and have lower operation and maintenance costs. Additionally, commissioning serves to restore existing buildings to a state of high productivity through the implementation of renovations, upgrades, and tune-ups of existing systems. Building the Movement for a Youth Climate Corps

Online +1 more

On March 18, young activists and elected politicians from across party lines will come together to discuss a transformative climate and labour solution: a national Youth Climate Corps. This event is co-hosted by Climate Emergency Unit & the office of MP Laurel Collins, and will be broadcast live online with watch parties in communities across the country. In the face of record temperatures and extreme weather events, Canadian youth are long overdue for a program that would get them directly involved in the fight against the climate crisis. That's why we're hosting a multi-party town hall to discuss the future of youth, build support for MP Laurel Collins’ motion for a Youth Climate Corps, and talk about how we can win this historic program. We encourage you to join an in-person watch party in your area (or host one yourself!) so you can build and cultivate the people-powered movement needed to secure a Youth Climate Corps. Can’t find a watch party in your area and don’t want to host? Register for the live broadcast.
