Building the Movement for a Youth Climate Corps
Building the Movement for a Youth Climate Corps
On March 18, young activists and elected politicians from across party lines will come together to discuss a transformative climate and labour solution: a national Youth Climate Corps. This event is co-hosted by Climate Emergency Unit & the office of MP Laurel Collins, and will be broadcast live online with watch parties in communities across the country. In the face of record temperatures and extreme weather events, Canadian youth are long overdue for a program that would get them directly involved in the fight against the climate crisis. That's why we're hosting a multi-party town hall to discuss the future of youth, build support for MP Laurel Collins’ motion for a Youth Climate Corps, and talk about how we can win this historic program. We encourage you to join an in-person watch party in your area (or host one yourself!) so you can build and cultivate the people-powered movement needed to secure a Youth Climate Corps. Can’t find a watch party in your area and don’t want to host? Register for the live broadcast.
