CHBA Net Zero Renovator Training for Renovators and Contractors

The City of Toronto will host Better Built Homes – CHBA Net Zero Renovator Training series for design-build professionals in Ontario who service in Greater Toronto Area in Fall 2023 and Winter 2024.

The Better Built Homes series, presented by EnerQuality, highlights the latest approaches to net zero/net zero-ready renovations focused on ensuring customer comfort and satisfaction. Attendees will review net zero/ready design principles, equipment options, emerging technologies, and construction practices and learn to identify the performance gap between “existing” homes and new net zero homes.

The course content will be delivered via a live webinar format by qualified trainers. This course reflects the advancements in technology and innovations in the Canadian housing industry. Participants will receive training materials and support documents, including the CHBA Net Zero Builder Manual, that may be used online, downloaded, saved, or printed for future reference. Participants are required to pass the final exam to receive their course certificate.

The three courses required to complete the CHBA Net Zero Renovator Training series are:

Advanced Building Science (pre-requisite for the NZ Builder course)
CHBA Net Zero Builder (pre-requisite for the NZ Renovator course)

Each Better Built Homes series includes three courses, and participants should sign up for three courses in one series only (either Series 3 or Series 4):

October 3 & 4, 2023 – Advanced Building Science, 12:30 – 4:30 pm EDT (online)
October 16 & 17, 2023 – CHBA Net Zero Builder, 12:30 – 4:30 pm EDT (online)
November 2 & 3, 2023 – CHBA Net Zero Renovator, 12:30 – 4:30 pm EDT (online)

Series 4 (January/February 2024):

January 23 & 24, 2024 – Advanced Building Science, 12:30 – 4:30 pm EST (online)
February 8 & 9, 2024 – CHBA Net Zero Builder, 12:30 – 4:30 pm EST (online)
February 22 & 23, 2024 – CHBA Net Zero Renovator, 12:30 – 4:30 pm EST (online)
